 Week-7 Sept 16-20

Monday-notes and discussion on properties of waves; notes and discussion about the electromagnetic spectrum and the relationships between the speed of light, frequency, wavelength and energy. Work packet assigned for homework covering topics covered and applied in class.
Tuesday- notes and discussions on calculating energy, creation and emission of photons. two short videos showing up occasion of EMS in our lives. Started briefly electron configuration
Wednesday- notes in discussion on the electron configuration and lab on emission spectroscopy.
Thursday-discuss lab and introduce sunglass project. Work in computer lab on project.
Friday- film on the deep ocean and how light affects it. Project cont.

Week 5   3-6 September

  2. Wednesday-history of the atom and calculating average atomic mass.
  3. Thursday-introduction of the periodic table and periodicity. Average atomic mass lab (M&M).
  4. Friday-film on the periodic table and notes on periodicity and ions.
